Painted Bags

I kept my word and I'm here to show you a really affordable, easy, and adorable project.

Wow, has it been a really long time since I've posted a DIY project!!!
(I'm crossing my fingers that remember everything that I need to do!)

Whether it is my birthday or someone elses they always give me a reason to get my craft on and I have a friend that recently celebrated her Birthday.  So...I headed to Walmart.  I know it's probably not the best place to go for ideas or inspiration but I needed to pick up some things and I stumbled onto these bags.

I've attached the link in case you want to get your own.  They come in a set of 3 bags.

Pink, Green, and Turqoise.

This is the pink one all new, blank, and fresh out of the package.

I made a simple monogram stencil design out of vinyl, applied it directly to the outside of the back, and started painting.
I told you this was easy!!!

This is the paint that I used.  I purchased it at Joann's Fabric, but I have seed this same brand at Walmart.

This is how it turned out.
 I love it!!!

I decided to have the gift go with a "Beach Theme", since it is summer and all.
I picked up some Flip Flops, and a Beach Towel and put them in the bag for an easy and adorable wrapping option.  I could've gone crazy filling the bag.  I thought about adding some magazines, water bottles, sunglasses, sunscreen, and the list goes on and on.

She liked them so much she had be do some for her daughters.  Ha!!!  Here are some photos of those.
I also did the monogram letters for their names and some fun fruit designs.

Here is another great option with this project.  After 72 hours the paint will be dry and is machine washible.  So no worries if the bags get dirty!!

I hope you are enjoying your summer!  We sure are!!!
